The Noam-Rachel Primary School on our Yeshuv Maale Michmas was
started in 1999 as a result of the growth on the Yeshuv, an
increased demand from the residents for a local school and due
to an increased danger on the roads. Due to a number of "start-up"
difficulties the school started with one first grade class of 17 girls.
Today the school is six years old and boasts around 150 pupils. The
first three grades are mixed classes (boys and girls) and from the
forth grade the classes are split into separate boys and girls classes.
The school is a religious (Dati-Leumi) school and goes from first to
sixth grade. From here the children usually go to the regional school
in Ofra (girls) or Beit-El (boys).
